| Jimmy Case & The Cherokees entertained the personnel aboard the USS Coral Sea on station in the Gulf of Tonkin. They were flown to the ship from Saigon on the carriers twin turbo-prop engine supply plane and performed three shows, two on the deck edge elevator and one in the main hangar bay. Two of the escort ships pulled up beside the Coral Sea to also watch the shows. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I wish to thank all of the many great musicians that
made up the Cherokees that worked with me over the years and for traveling
with me to so many dangerous places in the world to entertain our service
men and women defending our country! We all had a great time and many memories
to last more than a lifetime. Thanks again to all of you!
